Dynasyst - Orfitube

Orfitube is a thermoplastic tube intended for the creation of dynamic hand orthoses with outrigger and braided elastic. These tubes glide and protect the braided elastic and serve as a directional pully. The Orfitube Kit includes: 10 tubes that are 330mm (13") long; 3 different types of elastic thread on a spool with different degrees of elastic strength; 1 spool of polyester monofilament for an optimal gliding effect; 2 bending wires.

This Elastic Thread has a max resistance of 7 oz. (200g) and it is 30ft (10m) in length. It shows no signs of aging after 6 weeks of maximum stretching. This thread is ideal for supporting weak muscles of the fingers.

This Elastic Thread has a max resistance of 14 oz. (400g) and it is 30ft (10m) in length. It shows no signs of aging after 6 weeks of maximum stretching. This thread is ideal for most dynamic finger orthoses.

This Elastic Thread has a max resistance of 21 oz. (600g) and it is 30ft (10m) in length. It shows no signs of aging after 6 weeks of maximum stretching. This thread is ideal for dynamic wrist extension orthoses or for very persistent finger contractures.

Orfitube Ends are Chromium-plated tube ends that fit on all Orfitubes. These end pieces reduce the rubbing of the elastic thread with the tube edge to a minimum.

The Single Orfitube Adjuster is a structural unit placed on hand orthoses to give the orthoses added adjustable and dynamic action. It gives full control of the longitudinal and lateral positions of the Orfitubes. Its compact design allows you to fix one individual adjuster for each finger. The adjuster is elegant, lightweight and very cost-effective.

The Orfitube Bending Tool allows for easy bending of the strong Orfitubes without stress on the thumbs.

The Finger Coil Spring has a short leg which is bent and anchored in the dorsal bridge of the splint. The long leg is bent and cut to length. The spring power is adjusted by the coil design. Its gauge is 0.7 mm (1/37"), while its coil diameter is 5 mm (1/5"). This kit includes 10 finger coil springs.

The Knuckle Bender Coil Springs are designed to assist the intrinsic muscle weakness. Ideal for those with ulnar nerve palsy. The spring can be turned upside down to increase spring power. Its torque force at full finger extension is ca. 1000 g. cm. This kit includes 10 knuckle bender coils.

The Finger Extension Assist has a short leg that can be secured between two layers of Orfit Classic. Its long leg can be bent to size. At total finger flexion the spring is tightened up to a torque force of ca. 2000 g. cm. This spring is specially designed for finer extension assists in combination with an Orfit Splint. This kit includes 10 Finger Extension Assist pieces.

The Wrist Extension Coil Springs come in 10 pieces with 5 springs designed for the left hand and 5 springs designed for the right hand. The torque force when tightened over an angle of 130 degrees is 5000 g. cm. The gauge is 1.5 mm (1/16") while the coil diameter is 15 mm (3/5").

The Radial Wrist Extension Splint is ideal for radial nerve patients who need two strong assisting extension coils. Using this splint in the recovery process, the coils can help the patient rebalance muscle power.
