Today, we wanted to share the story of Katie Griffiths with you. Katie is a first grade teacher at Eastgate Elementary School in East Helena, Montana. Katie was looking to incorporate flexible seating in her classroom. Flexible seating is beneficial for students for a number of reasons:
- Burns calories
- Uses up excess energy
- Improves student’s metabolism
- Increases motivation and engagement
- Creates better oxygen flow to the brain
- Improves core strength and overall posture
We at FEI believe in giving back to the community, especially to those who are trying to improve the lives of children. To help make Katie’s vision of a classroom with flexible seating become a reality, we donated 20 CanDo® Inflatable Balance Discs to her classroom.
