How to Lose Weight with Exercise in 2021

If your New Year’s resolution was to lose weight and you are still struggling to meet that goal, fear not. There are many ways you can lose weight, you just have to find out what method works best for you. Keep in mind not all exercises are created equal, and neither is the food you eat. You may need to adjust your food intake as well as your exercise routine to meet your fitness goals.

Anything that is exercise related can result in weight loss and provide many other benefits as well. However, if you are struggling on a certain routine it may often lead to confusion. Leading you to wonder why you are not losing the weight. If you feel this way, you will need to find a new routine that you will enjoy and is also meeting your weight loss goals. For example, if you like cardio but going for a jog at a steady pace is too boring for you, look for other types of cardio that better suit you. Practicing cardio intervals can liven up your cardio experience by alternating the intensity of the workout. Next time you go for a low intensity jog, maybe try sprinting for a minute or two. Doing this at certain points during the jog will help liven up your cardio experience.

It is important to note that cardio is not the only exercise you should be doing to help lose weight. Cardio is great for elevating your heart rate and burning calories, but it is not as efficient without some weightlifting added to the mix. In order to really see weight loss results you will need to build some muscle as well. This is simply because muscle burns more calories than fat. Whether you choose heavy or light weights, the results from this will have more of an impact than just doing cardio. Even if you just gain lean muscle doing this, you will still be burning more calories than just doing cardio alone.

At the end of the day, it is up to you to find the exercise routine that best suits you. The amount of work you put into your exercise routine will show when it comes to weight loss. It is also important to know that you should be mindful of your calorie ratio. If you are eating more calories than you are burning, you are not going to lose weight.
