Coffee, in particular, can prolong life by helping prevent several diseases. It also promotes a healthy liver, skin, and digestive tract. So even though there are some negative side effects to caffeine, such as restlessness, there are a lot more benefits that come with caffeine consumption.
The bottom line is that caffeine is generally considered safe and is not as unhealthy as it once was believed. Although it can be addicting and cause sleeplessness, there are ways to avoid that. By consuming caffeine in moderation and not consuming it late at night you will be able to avoid most negative side effects.
