National Chiropractic Health Month 2023

Chiropractors have an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the health and well-being of our communities. They all strive for excellence in providing personalized, safe, and effective care. The month of October has come to represent National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM), where chiropractors are celebrated for their hard work to promote better health outcomes through natural means like spinal manipulation. This month chiropractic doctors nationwide will celebrate NCHM with this year’s campaign of Relieve, Restore, Resume.

This year’s campaign is meant to promote medical techniques that do not require the use of drugs to alleviate pain. Chiropractors are some of the medical professionals that offer non-drug approaches to medicine. Using their services to help alleviate pain and restore function, so that patients can get to what matters most. When it comes to back pain, neck pain, joint pain and other musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, Chiropractors can help. They do this by focusing on treating the spine by using their hands to examine and treat musculoskeletal problems. Effectively treating nervous system and musculoskeletal conditions, such as pack pain.

When pain happens, the first things patients resort to are prescribed pain killers. With the opioid crisis currently happening in America, it is important to stress alternative ways that help combat pain. As the title of the campaign suggests, Chiropractors help people by relieving their pain, restoring their function, and helping to resume their lives. If you have acute or chronic pain, it is important to find ways to manage or alleviate that pain first before having to take pain killers. By using non-evasive tools and sometimes just their hands, Chiropractors apply a controlled and sudden force to spinal joint. Manipulating the spine to help relieve any pain the patient might be experiencing.

As we celebrate National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM) during the month of October, let’s take a moment to appreciate all the hard work and dedication chiropractors put into helping identify and improve pain levels in their patients. Through use of controlled force on spinal joints and non-evasive tools, chiropractic care has helped countless patients feel better quickly and without offering drugs. Be sure you take some time to thank the local chiropractors in your community who help others each day by relieving pain and restoring their function.
