Yoga Poses to Relieve Stress

Everyone feels stressed every so often. After all, it is natural to feel that kind of emotion. It is only when you feel stressed all the time that your body can be negatively impacted. If not dealt with, it can lead to various health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, obesity and even diabetes. Fortunately, yoga provides both mental and physical relief that can transform your overall well-being. All you need is Airex’s newest and cheapest yoga mat, the Airex TrExercise Mat, and some fun poses to do:

Cat-Cow Pose

The Cat-Cow Pose allows you to connect your breathing to your movements. Allowing your breath to guide each movement as you calm your mind and release stress. To begin, start in a tabletop position. Then place your wrists underneath your shoulders and your knees underneath your hips. As you begin to inhale, look up toward the ceiling and arch your back, allowing your stomach to move toward the Airex TrExercise Mat. This is what is known as the Cow Pose. Then, to get into Cat Pose, exhale and draw your chin in toward your chest. Make sure to bend your back toward the ceiling, like a cat would do. Continue to go back and forth between these two positions for 1 minute.

Child’s Pose

Child’s Pose will help create an inward focus and restore your energy. It also supports mental and physical relaxation. To begin, start with your knees together in a kneeling position. Then sit back on your heels and fold your body forward, resting your forehead on your mat. Then extend your arms in front of you and let your torso go into your thighs. Hold this pose for up to 5 minutes as you breathe deeply and focus on relaxing your body.

Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose

You are basically doing what the name of this pose suggests. Though it is a simple one, it does provide deep relaxation while boosting lymph flow and circulation. Simply find the closest vacant wall, and then lie on your back with your legs up the wall and your knees straight. Make sure to have your hips next to the wall and place your arms alongside your body. Hold this pose for up to 15 minutes.

Doing yoga daily can provide some tremendous benefits. It can be very effective at calming your body and mind. Helping you can reduce your stress, replenish your energy and increase your overall well-being.
